Habitat Pinellas and West Pasco is excited to join the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) in celebrating Women in Construction (WIC) Week March 1st – 7th, 2020. The focus of WIC Week is to highlight women as a visible component of the construction industry. WIC Week raises awareness of the opportunities available for women in the construction industry and emphasizes the growing role of women in the industry.
Leila Brown, who works for Park & Eleazer Construction, has been in her position in the construction industry for almost three years.
Park & Eleazer Construction is a regionally recognized construction management firm located in Clearwater, Florida. They serve their clients through design, develop, and execute architectural and engineering projects, through general contracting, construction management, and consulting. Leah works to maintain the culture of the company as the office manager, and has helped with accounts payable in the past.
She describes her proudest moment in the field as “Being a part of bringing our company together to try to make it the best place to work. Encouraging communication, teamwork, creativity and helping with everyday problem solving.”
