Here at Habitat, we understand that these uncertain times can be difficult for everyone. Many are homebound for the upcoming weeks, which leaves a lot of our families facing tough challenges. However, others are making the best of the situation and finding ways to stay positive. We will be sharing updates that our homeowner candidates shared about how their families are staying positive during this time.  

Amanda is a Volunteer Coordinator for Habitat, and recently started her own journey towards homeownership. While working from home this past week, she has gotten to spend some needed quality time with her dog Nollie who she says will “enjoy the company.”

Amanda has found ways to have some “me” time during these upcoming weeks. She loves to experiment with makeup looks, and now has the time to organize and clean her makeup collection. She also finds it therapeutic to drive around listening to her favorite music- which is great timing as her favorite band is releasing a new album. She loves to follow their interviews and keeps up with social media.
