Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and west Pasco Counties is proud to announce and welcome a new staffing addition: Candi Hagler as Chief Strategy Officer.
Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties has built over 800 safe and affordable homes for local families and was recently recognized as the largest Habitat affiliate in the country based on new home builds out of a network of 1,100 affiliates.
For over 25 years, Candi has been working in the affordable housing sector, twenty-three of them being with Habitat for Humanity organizations. Most recently, she served as Assistant Executive Director at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge.
In her new role as Chief Strategy Officer, Candi will serve on the staff executive team and will work with all departments to ensure sound policies and procedures are in place, as well as focus efforts to reduce risk to the organization. In partnership with Mike Sutton, Habitat Pinellas & West Pasco’s President and CEO, Candi will champion, oversee, and advise on the development, implementation, and monitoring of all diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives internally and externally related to the organization. She will also oversee mortgage services and work with the programs department to create a robust post-closing program focused on engagement and education for existing homeowners.
“Throughout my years with Habitat, a commitment to inspire others led me to develop and enhance the Habitat homeowner education component,” Candi explains. “Habitat for Humanity is a ministry that brings all kinds of people together and that is a perfect fit for me!”
