Habitat Volunteer Impact on Full Display Throughout Valspar Championship Week
Habitat will host special volunteer events with community partners; Habitat volunteers will perform 2,000 volunteer hours during Valspar Championship Week.
Clearwater, FL – Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties is proud to have a community partner like the Valspar Championship and Copperhead Charities. Habitat is one of over 80 Tampa Bay area charities that receive financial support from funds raised at the Valspar Championship, Tampa Bay PGA TOUR event. Habitat has built nine homes for deserving families throughout Pinellas and West Pasco Counties with those funds. Now, during Valspar Championship Week, Habitat volunteers are ready to help out across the course and at the Saturday night Cole Swindell Concert. Habitat volunteers will log an estimated 2,000 volunteer hours this week.

Wednesday, March 20th
PGA Tour Wives Association Volunteer Build Day

Event Details: The PGA Tour Wives Association will volunteer at two Habitat Homes in Tarpon Springs, painting the exterior of both homes. They will be joined by middle and high school students from the Ross Norton and North Greenwood Recreation Centers in Clearwater.
CEO Build Wrap-Up Reception, Hosted by Valspar Championship Director Tracy West and Chairman Rondé Barber

Event Details: The 2024 Habitat CEO Build raised over $200,000 to help build a home for a family in our community. Barber and West are CEO Build participants, with Barber serving on the host committee. The 65 CEOs who donated and volunteered on the build are invited to celebrate the completion of the home and witness the homeowner, Tangela Butler, sign her closing documents during this celebratory cocktail reception. Habitat Homeowner Candidates Volunteer Shifts
6:30 am – 5:30 pm
Copperhead Course
Event Details: Habitat Homeowner Candidates will volunteer at different locations around the course at the Valspar Championship. Their volunteer shifts will count towards the sweat equity hours they earn in the Habitat Homeownership program. Habitat partner families must complete between 350-450 sweat equity hours as part of their obligations to become homeowners.
Saturday, March 23rd
Valspar LIVE Concert featuring Cole Swindell
4:00 pm – 11:00 pm
Osprey Driving Range
Event Details: Around 200 Habitat Homeowner Candidates and volunteers will work with Valspar Championship staff to set up and break down chairs and event space for the Cole Swindell Concert. These volunteers will also facilitate crowds as gates open to the concert and assist with concertgoers exiting the area and safely returning to their vehicles.
