That was Mike Sutton’s way of demonstrating the scope of what the organization does and the number of people it helps.
Sutton is the president and CEO of the Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties, which inaugurated its Community Builders Hour with a complimentary breakfast on Feb. 20 at Spartan Manor.

Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco celebrated the dedication of its 600th home in Largo’s Ridgecrest neighborhood Thursday and announced the launch of its new website, www.habitatpwp.org, developed in partnership with local marketing firm Stevie & Fern.

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. — A newly-built Habitat for Humanity home is just the start of things to come. The Langston family joined the Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties to be part of the dedication ceremony for their new home Saturday morning.
Largo, FL – On Thursday, February 13th, 2020, Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties will dedicate its 600th safe and affordable home to a local, qualified family.
With the construction of every new home, Habitat Pinellas and West Pasco creates homeownership opportunities for families and individuals with the help of the community volunteers, corporate donors, civic organizations and county officials. The key sponsors of the 600th house, which will become “home” to the Gordon family, were primarily community individuals and family foundations as a result of peer-to-peer fundraising throughout the area.
CLEARWATER, Fla. - The Habitat ReStore has been helping build communities for years, giving builders a place to donate their extra materials and providing those materials to the public for a discounted price, all while supporting the mission of Habitat for Humanity.
The revenue that is generated through the ReStore goes back into building homes for families and has become a solution for people to give back to the community. So far, Habitat for Humanity in Pinellas and West Pasco County has built over 500 houses and is building its 600 house Feb. 13.
TAMPA, Fla., - On a tree-lined street in sunny Pinellas County, Florida, MaintenX International celebrated the kick-off their second Habitat for Humanity home which will be presented to a deserving family later this year. In addition to monetarily sponsoring the home, MaintenX employees will volunteer at least 200 hours to help ensure the house is ready for the Ross family to move-in later this spring.
