ATLANTA - Aaron's, Inc. (NYSE: AAN), a leading omnichannel provider of lease-purchase solutions, and its divisions the Aaron's Business and Progressive Leasing, teamed with former NFL star Warrick Dunn and Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties to provide furnishings for a 'Homes for the Holidays' presentation unlike any other in its 20-year history.
You don’t expect the leader of one of the busiest Habitat for Humanity affiliates on the planet to develop mad skills as a mergers and acquisitions specialist. But Mike Sutton is getting pretty good at the merger stuff. In March 2019, the West Pasco and Pinellas County affiliates merged to form Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties. Then, a year ago, the Clearwater Regional Chamber and the Clearwater Beach Chamber officially merged to become Amplify Clearwater. As chair of the regional chamber, Mike facilitated the deal. “We moved egos and history out of the way and stayed focused on the goal,” he said at the time. It’s all about a focus on smart growth. Since he started in 2014, he and his team have seen double the number of families served and revenue grow from $6 to nearly $20 million.
ST. PETERSBURG — Last month, a St. Pete family celebrated the completion of the Habitat for Humanity homeownership program. The Worthen family partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties to build their home in the Childs Park area, which they purchased with zero percent interest mortgage.
LARGO, Fla. - There’s no place like home.
Especially now.
“I think the idea of home has never been more powerful,” said Habitat for Humanity President/CEO Mike Sutton.
LARGO, Fla. — A Largo mother of six couldn't hold her tears back when Habitat for Humanity and local businesses presented her with a new van that was accessible for each of her five children that have disabilities.
