ST. PETERSBURG — Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties will be celebrating with 11 new homeowners before the year’s end. Two St. Pete families, the Harrells and the Lambs, are already settling into their new digs, having received their keys this past week.
LARGO, Fla. - Staffers with Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties won't be reporting into their regular offices or ReStore locations on the day before Thanksgiving.
I chatted with several new Habitat for Humanity homeowners this week and couldn’t help being buoyed by their gratitude for simple, taken-for-granted pleasures. For instance, being able to set up a grill to cook in their own backyard, their children’s joy at having a bedroom they didn’t have to share and the added bonus of a safe place to play outdoors.
On Wednesday, November 25th, 2020, Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties will close its offices and ReStore locations for its staff to give back. For the affiliate’s fifth “Give Back Day”, they have partnered with Feeding Tampa Bay to provide Thanksgiving meals to 120 residents in the Dansville neighborhood of Largo. In additional to meals, Habitat staff will be volunteering their time on beautification projects in the neighborhood including landscaping and general neighborhood cleanup.
