Gabrielle just started big girl school at kindergarten this week! She is today’s Back-to-School Spotlight.
This year at her new school, Gabrielle is looking forward to learning new things and making new friends. Her favorite subject is reading and she enjoys reading at home to her mother and little brother. Gabby’s goal this year is to learn how to write out words to form a sentence and to learn basic math. Outside of school, she plays soccer, but hopes to find a new activity to join this year. When she grows up, Gabby would like to be police officer.
Gabby’s mother is future Habitat homeowner, Gericka, and she tells us that “Going to school and learning is important because it allows our kids to grow, and become better kids for the future.”
Living in a safe, secure, and affordable home is important for a child’s education and future. If you or someone you know is interested in applying for the Habitat for Humanity program, please check out out Apply Page on our website for more information.
“Home is where the love, comfort, and peace is. Home is where new traditions are made and family bonding is done.”
