Kylee, a hard-working mother, is working through the Habitat homeownership program for her three-month-old son, Kaison. She currently works three jobs as a Medical Behavioral Assistant at Cross Bayou Elementary School during the week, and on the weekends at the YMCA and Cover2Pools. She is also currently finishing up her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Through all of this, she is working extremely hard to provide a safe and stable home for her family. “I am a mother, daughter, and sister who enjoys working with children and spending time with my family.”
Kylee and Kaison currently live with her mom, dad, and brother in a two-bedroom apartment. “This has been especially difficult for us as my brother, son and I currently share a bedroom. We have no privacy at the moment.”
When she was accepted into the Habitat program, Kylee said “I felt so blessed to have this amazing opportunity! Starting on my sweat equity hours has given me the chance to learn how to keep up with my own home and learning to be a successful homeowner.”
“I imagine my life being so different with this home, as I will be able to provide for my family all by myself. I’m looking forward to having my own space to come home to every day, and spending time with my son. This will be something we cherish and enjoy every single day!”
