“I believe my future for myself and my family will be bright! It will give us the chance to do the things we have never been able to do before!”
Najah Francis is a single mother who works at “Protect My Car” selling car warranties. Her 6-year-old son is named Hajan and loves paw patrol, roblox, video games, Ryan’s world, nerf guns and reading books! The Mommy & Son duo love to have family time, create art, and to bake and cook together. They also have a dog named Ocean. Fun Fact: Hajan’s name is his mother’s name backwards!
Najah and her son have struggled with their living conditions for a while. “We lived in homes that had every thing from mold and rats to the roof falling (my son has bad allergies and asthma) so that was not fun having to deal with that!” They have also struggled with landlords and property taxes. “It has been a difficult road for us, but I am blessed because it has humbled me as a person.”
After receiving the call that she was accepted into the Habitat program, Najah said “I was so excited I cried! Jack called me while I was working right before Christmas and all I could think to myself was “This is the best gift ever”! I was more so excited to finally have a chance to have a stable place to call home.”
Najah is excited to decorate her new home and to have family over to visit. “My house will be our safe haven. A place my children will know they can always come back to with open arms awaiting.”
“Faith without work is dead! Things may get challenging but you are not alone you have the support you need every step of the way.”
The Francis Family Home was dedicated on September 10th, 2021 and was sponsored by Pinellas Community Partnerships.
