Chet, a retired systems analyst, began volunteering with Habitat for Humanity in 2018. He is part of our Weekday Warriors, a group of individuals who volunteer with Habitat at least two days per month.

“I like building and working with tools. I am an above average do-it-yourself person, having owned several homes and having experience remodeling and flipping a home.”

Chet got involved with Habitat while supporting the first home on Leisure Lane in New Port Richey. “I really enjoyed that build and decided to continue on helping build in that same area.” As he continued to support the mission, he enjoyed getting things done on a build side and being able to see progress being made each day.

Some of his favorite Habitat volunteer memories include attending the Blueprint Gala in 2019, hearing the background of Habitat for Humanity and dedicating the first home on Leisure Lane.
