“I’m working for something I never had. I’m getting a home.”
Tyree, a hardworking mother of two, has been working at her current job for three years. She has a five year old daughter, Chloe, who loves playing with toys and spending time with her family. She also has a one-year-old son, Cameron, who loves to run around in the park. “My kids and I are very simple. We love having our weekly movie night and going on our Saturday walks in the park.”
The family’s living situation has been very tight, with the three of them sharing two bedrooms. “My son goes back and forth between my room and his sister’s room. With constantly sharing their toys and the limited space, I have no privacy.”
When Tyree found out she was accepted into the Habitat program, she said she had “joy like you would never believe.”
“The process has been difficult, but worth every minute. I want a place that my kids and I can call home, and have our own space- somewhere we can make our own. The program has been amazing, and you never know who you will meet along the way.”
