“I am looking forward to raising my future children in a stable, loving environment and a Habitat home is the missing stepping stone to turning my dream into a reality.”
Courtney Schultz has been working as a Recreation Coordinator for the City of Clearwater for the past 8 years. She is a dedicated and hardworking individual. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family, completing DIY projects, and traveling. She is born and raised in the Safety Harbor and the oldest of 3 children, with 2 loving parents.
Despite working since she was 15 years old, Courtney has faced challenges in finding an affordable home due to the increasing cost of the housing markets and the increasing costs of living. While she loves her job, it does not provide the wages necessary to become a homeowner. “My future dream is to have a family of my own someday and to be able to provide and stable, loving place to call home” Courtney explains.
After getting accepted into the Habitat program, Courtney’s dreams are closer to becoming a reality. After watching how hard her parents worked to keep a rough over her and her siblings’ heads, Courtney was driven to work hard to provide a stable environment for her future family. For Courtney, she is most looking forward to having pride over a space that is her own. “My house will be something I take pride in and will never take for granted” she tells us.
“I am building because I want everyone to be able to experience that feeling of having a place to call home.”
