Rory, a Career Counselor, and mother to three works hard and loves her family to the fullest. “I will go above and beyond to make sure that they are well taken care of. We are a very tight-knit family and will do anything to help others.”

Rory’s oldest son, Domonic, loves sports of any kind. He also enjoys drawing and playing video games. Her daughter, Natalia, loves to be in the spotlight. She likes to sing, dance, and make people laugh. She also loves to draw and read to her younger brother. Her youngest son, CJ, enjoys playing with his siblings, loves Pac Man and watching PJ Mask.

The family currently rents a home that is very old, and they have been experiencing ongoing issues with it. The stove, multiple cabinets, and more are broken. There is mold growing throughout multiple parts of the home, and the property managers continue to paint over it, leading it to grow back again. This is especially dangerous for Rory’s daughter Natalia, as she has severe asthma and anaphylaxis allergies.

When Rory found out she was accepted into the Habitat program she said, “I was so ecstatic and overcome with emotion that I was holding back tears. Words cannot express how thankful, excited, scared but yet determined I am feeling right now. I have wanted to be a part of this program since I attended my first dedication years ago. It moved me to tears, but I was so grateful to be there to witness the end of their amazing journey. I now find myself at the beginning of my own, and pray that I can make it through to the end and cry those very same tears of joy for my family.”

“My house will be the foundation of our sound future as a thriving and happy family. I can’t wait to get started and take in all the knowledge this program has to offer. I am greatly looking forward to building relationships, bonds and of course houses!”
