“I am building because I want better for my son and I want to show him that anything is possible and to never give up.”

Alycia Roberts is a Pharmacy Technician and single mother who is on her journey towards homeownership with Habitat for Humanity. Her son, Terron, is 9-years-old and loves to play football, basketball, and video games. The mother-son duo describes themselves as loving and family-oriented.

Like many other families in our community, Alycia found herself in an overcrowded living situation that was becoming increasingly difficult to afford. “When I found out I was accepted into the Habitat program all I could do was thank GO. He answered my prayers. I was so excited and proud,” Alycia exclaims. She was very eager to learn the importance of being a homeowner and how to be more financially stable.
