CeCe Colton began to volunteer with Habitat Pinellas and West Pasco in March 2019, after moving to the area from California. CeCe enjoys donating her time to local nonprofits. “I have always made time to help in my community whether it be with food banks, cleanups, or other volunteer work.”
CeCe was introduced to Habitat as part of her job with Marshalls. “I initially reviewed the program for my current Marshalls, District 1302, as a way our stores could assist our local communities. After volunteering and being present at reveals, I have seen how this program helps families.” Now that she has spent time on the build site, CeCe has found learning about new construction techniques and building walls with Site Supervisor, Bill Wulff (pictured above) to be more rewarding.
When asked what she likes most about volunteering on our build sites, CeCe noted the interactions with Habitat staff. “I like the Habitat for Humanity Staff – they make volunteering fun!”. The most rewarding part of volunteering for CeCe is when she interacts with homeowner candidates and is able to see first-hand the impact that her time makes. She enjoys seeing the smiles on their faces when homeowners work alongside people who are helping them on their journey.
Thank you to CeCe for donating her time with Habitat Pinellas and West Pasco!
