Clearwater, FL – Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties will welcome four families to their new homes this week. The first home dedication will be on Tuesday morning in St. Petersburg. Then, on Friday, there will be three home dedications – two in New Port Richey and one in Dunedin. Each family has earned the keys to their newly constructed Habitat Home after completing the Habitat homeownership program, which consists of 32 homebuyer education classes and putting in between 350-450 sweat equity hours. These families also earn a zero-interest mortgage that will ensure affordability throughout the life of each of their home loans.
The Worrils Family will receive the keys to their new home on Tuesday, September 26th, at 9:00 a.m. in St. Petersburg. Kierra Worrils is looking forward to having a safe and affordable place for her two children, Da’Marieon (8) and Da’Sunni (4), to call home. U.S. Representative Kathy Castor (14th District of Florida) will attend and welcome the family to their new home.
“My kids won’t have to ever worry about having their own space again,” said Kierra. “The new home represents more than just a physical space; it symbolizes generational wealth and a new chapter in their lives. It’s a stepping stone towards a brighter future and a path filled with new opportunities.”
The Worrils Family Home was made possible thanks to Habitat’s Pinellas Community Partnerships.
